Social Networks: Love or Hate?

It is CRAZY how so many people life through social networks these days. Forget about texts, calls or dinners with friends, just talk on your social network! Lol now I’d rather text, call or go out with friends to keep in contact but I think I only do that occasionally with about 2 people these days. Everyone has a preference though. In addition to that, the “news feed” or “tweets” I read are sometimes ridiculous to read. We ALL have issues but not everyone on your social network needs to know! So here are my little random “do’s and dont’s” for your site. Given everyone has a different opinion which is AWESOME, but this is just MY opinion & what I feel would make these social networks a more positive environment!

DO POST:
-Good events in your life! Birthdays, promotions, anything positive you’ve experienced that day etc.
- Pictures/videos that show the real you without being graphic or derogatory. Beach photos, gradutation videos or even random outing with friends are pretty cool in my opinion.
-Questions or ideas to generate positive energy/thoughts/conversation! Like how I post my questions/statements of the day! Sometimes we have a random thought or question and posting these gets others involved and “juices” flowing in a sense, sometimes they also lead to making new connections!
- Music or things that you found/discovered that others might not have seen or know about! Sharing is caring and I know I love quotes/videos that others post that I haven’t seen/heard yet.

DO NOT POST:
- Posts including labeling words such as bitches and hoes, liar, curse word this and that etc. YES we all have friend/men/women issues BUT seeing 9 out of 10 negative posts including curse words and labels is TIRING AND OLD!
- Naked or suggestive content with minimal clothes. Anyone can be naked on a bathroom sink or posing in front of a mirror. All that makes me think is “wow, never is that cool” and it makes me smh. Don’t degrade your greatness!
- Threats or posts tagging people in them where you’re negatively addressing them. An ugly character makes me run and delete ya! Not attractive :-]
- Anything with HATE in it! This world has enough problems and if some people only know you from these sites, always being hurtful or pessimistic is an ugly trait, so please refrain. “Where is the love”

So in conclusion, I think its all common sense really! I’ve been guilty of posting negative things due to my “bad day” but there’s always something bigger than our petty issues. I’m so tired of reading posts with a negative undertone to them so let’s try to make online a better place :-] xo

Random or Normal

We all have little random things we do/like but are they really random or normal?
What I do may be random to you but normal to me and vice versa.
Who’s to say which is right or what is normal
All I know is I’m definitely different :)

Random or Normal?
-I cant sleep unless I have the covers over me.
-Dresses have to be 1)short and 2)paired with tall heels.
-My closet is color coordinated, lightest to darkest, left to right.
-I won't eat/drink anything that will turn my mouth colors.
-My water has to come in a certain type of bottle or I won't drink it.
-I rinse off all can tops before I open them.

Random? probably... Normal? Yup

Be Yourself

Some days are longer than others,
Some people advance faster than others,
Some people fall in love while others stay single...
One thing that you can control is who you are and who you can be
Be yourself in life, at work, when you meet someone, when you are alone in your own silence.
That is the best advice I can give to others and tell myself when things look down or when you come to a cross roads
Everything else will fall into place :)

Dream or Reality

Is true love a dream or a reality?
It is SO hard to determine these days. Most of us have been lied to or cheated on, know someone whose lied or cheated or have had our hearts broken and lies told to our face.
Dating is a vicious game. End of story. Point blank.
Not everyone has the qualities that make a relationship sustainable, whether you’re together or going on dates, the qualities make the person, their character doesn’t change and their motives shouldn’t either.
However, motives and actions DO change in those who aren’t true to the person they are portraying.
Today, one of my best friends found out his girl was going behind his back with another man. In my mind, this would crush me; I could only imagine how he feels. Now you think it would be common sense to those in a relationship to value their partner and their connection but sadly this isn’t always the case for one person in that commitment. So this got me thinking.
IS true love a dream or can it in fact be a reality?..... Yes, there are ups and downs, that’s with life in general. What makes me wonder is WHY is commitment and loving someone who loves you so hard? It shouldn’t be. There shouldn’t be so many curves and dark corners. There shouldn’t be so many fake words and distrusting actions. So how do you determine which is real and fake?
SO many things can be discussed when you ask “is true love a dream or reality because most of us have a cloudy, dreamlike experience where we feel like “true love” isn’t real… my advice?
All I can personally do is be myself. Regardless of those around me or those who chose not to embrace my love and affection. “Everything happens for a reason”. I believe I have a lot to offer so…. All we can do is try and wait…. Wouldn’t that be amazing is “true love” did exist for each of us? :) keep smiling…

Get the Popcorn!!!

Okay so I think MOVIES area great. Whether your going on a date, have a night off from work or just want to go out with friends, they are good for every occasion!
So a few of my FAVS are:
-Gladiator
-The Patriot
-BraveHeart
-Miracle At St. Anna
-Jumping the Broom
-30 Days of Nights
-Apocalypto

Now I know Im forgetting a few but those are DEF MUST SEES!!!!!

so heres my opinions on movies
Perfect date movie- ACTION or COMEDY....cant go wrong! lets both the man and the women enjoy themselves and the company

Rainy day movie: Something with a strong story line or real life event, like Miracle at St. Anna! Movie is AMAZING! I can watch it anytime (because of mr L.A. lol) but that movie has a very significant story behind it, makes for a good chill day or in this case, rainy day weather.

Love Making Night movie: Sexy romantic movie like "The Best Man" or "Brown Sugar" or "Jumping the Broom"..Those movies are not only well written, have amazing actors/actresses, but the LOVE in those movies is so strong, it will definitely make the women your with smile and put her in another mindset. As for the "love making", that parts up to you lol

Bottom line, i LOVE movies, and they can add to any occasion or mood you want to set!
